Uncle Nearest 1884 Small Batch is an American whiskey bottled at 93 proof. It is made by Uncle Nearest from distillation through ageing and bottling, and each batch is put together by master blender Victoria Eady Butler, a fifth-generation descendant of Nearest Green. The nose has honey, warm brown sugar, cedar, orange peel and tobacco flower, with ground ginger and white pepper. On the palate, caramel is balanced by spicy wood tannins, alongside baking chocolate, cigar leaf, nougat and cinnamon. The finish is long and smooth, with cinnamon, dark chocolate, oak tannins and maple syrup.
