Vamonos Riendo Mezcal Joven (75cl, 42%)

Vamonos Riendo Mezcal Joven is an unaged, triple-distilled artisanal mezcal from Oaxaca, bottled at 42% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is an ensamble of Espadín agave from the Central Valleys, matured for eight years, and wild Tobalá agave from the Sierra Madre, matured for fourteen. Distillation takes place in high-altitude palenques, with an infusion of local fruits in a method inspired by the pechuga tradition. Oak-tinged wood smoke, orange peel, tropical fruit and wild honey lead the nose. On the palate, melon, pineapple and grapefruit give way to milk chocolate, cocoa and vanilla, with mandarin, mint and anise alongside. The finish is long and velvety, with soft caramel, a citrus bite and a trace of smoke.
