A 10-year-old rum from Velier, from Reunion, bottled at 50% abv in a 70cl bottle. The nose is elegant and complex, with orange and chocolate aromas, very ripe mango, mineral slate notes and hydrocarbon vapours.
The palate is distinguished and lively, with fresh orange juice, rooty ginger and gentian, full-bodied hot cane sugar and a refined apricot stone aspect. The finish is long and differentiated, with powdery cocoa and red tea, toffee, oak staves and a consistent, fibrous, vegetal sugar cane character.
