The Nailed Puppet is an 11 year old Speyside single malt from Tormore Distillery, bottled independently by Brave New Spirits for its Whisky of Voodoo range. It is bottled at 52.6% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in a mix of first-fill and second-fill bourbon barrels, and Brave New Spirits classes it as lightly peated. Tropical and stone fruit sit with creamy vanilla, honeyed malt and a gentle, mineral peat smoke.
The nose has dried tropical fruit, pineapple, banana and peach. The palate brings malt, citrus, apricot and honey, then soft peat smoke. The finish is lingering, with tropical fruit, gentle smoke and drying oak spice.
