W.L. Weller 12 Year Old is a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon, aged for twelve years, which is far longer than most wheated bourbons. It has a deep bronze colour. On the nose are lanolin, almond, creamed corn and toasty vanilla. The mid-palate is heavily wheated, layered and moderately sweet, and the finish is long, oaky and very smooth. The bourbon is described as smooth, easy-going and balanced.
