This Glen Elgin was distilled in 2012 and selected by independent bottler Watt Whisky. It matured for 11 years in a hogshead and was bottled in 2023 at a cask strength of 60.9% ABV, as a single cask yielding 296 bottles. It is a powerful whisky with a distinct fruitiness that stays present despite the strength. A few drops of water can open it up and bring the fruit forward further. It is bottled without added colouring and without chill filtration, in a 70cl bottle.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
