The Cheshire is a single malt from Weetwood, made with English malted barley and soft Cheshire water. It was aged in American oak quarter casks treated by the shave, toast and re-char method (STR) to the distillery's own specification, then finished in ex-Sauternes and red wine casks.
It is natural colour and non-chill filtered, in a 70cl bottle, and won a Silver Medal at the IWSC in 2025.
The nose is fresh-cut grass, creamy vanilla and orchard fruits. The palate brings creamy malt, dried fruit and toasted baking spices. The finish is mellow and sustained, with baked apricots, butterscotch and a hint of smoke.
