Westland Wine Cask Finish is an American single malt from the Westland Distillery in Seattle, Washington. It is part of the distillery's Cask Exploration Series and is bottled at 46% in a 750ml bottle.
The whiskey is aged for a minimum of five years and finished in Pacific Northwest red-wine casks: cabernet sauvignon, syrah and Washington Red Blend.
The nose offers allspice, raspberry reduction, chocolate wafer and dried rose. On the palate come chocolate raspberry turnover, Earl Grey tea and dried strawberry, and the finish is smooth and lingering, balancing fruit and floral notes.
