This is an American single malt from Westward in Portland, bottled as a single barrel private selection at 62.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
The whiskey has been finished in a stout cask. It is the colour of flat cola in the glass.
The nose brings mocha, malt and orange, with peanut sauce and sesame oil behind them. On the palate it recalls Mexican hot chocolate, with chilli spice, rich chocolate, candied orange, malted barley and a little bitter cacao. The finish stays with that hot chocolate richness.
