Westward – American Single Malt Whiskey (75cl, 45%)

Westward American Single Malt is made from 100% malted two-row barley grown in the American Northwest, at the Portland, Oregon distillery that began as House Spirits Distillery in 2004. It is fermented with craft ale yeast, double pot-distilled and never chill filtered, then matured in new American oak barrels that are heavily toasted and lightly charred. It is bottled at 45% in a 75cl bottle. Orange peel, caramel and toasted nut lead on the nose. The palate offers stone fruit, vanilla, honey and coconut, and the finish brings toffee, light oak and roasted fruit.
