Westward is an American single malt whiskey from Portland, Oregon, bottled at 45% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made from barley grown in the Pacific Northwest, brewed in the manner of craft beer and then distilled slowly in small copper pot stills.
Maturation is in new American oak barrels, and the whiskey is not cold filtered.
The nose has roasted grain, caramel, orange peel and light spices. The palate is creamy and malty, with honey, toast, cocoa and soft oaky spice. The finish is warm and clean, with a hint of vanilla.
