Whisky Roof Rye Maison Ferroni (50cl, 43%)

A French rye whisky from Maison Ferroni, distilled at the Warenghem distillery in Lannion, Brittany. It is bottled at 43% in a 50cl bottle. The mash for the current batch is 80% rye, against a minimum of 51% for the style. The whisky spent six years in sherry casks in Brittany, then moved to Provence for a second maturation in new, charred American oak. There it ages in the manner of American bourbon distilleries, in a dry climate with wide temperature swings and in metal-clad warehouses.
