This is Whisky Sponge Edition No.63, a 16 year old single malt from Knockdhu, distilled in 2006. It comes from a single refill hogshead and is bottled at 55% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is peaty and very pale. Its cask strength was over 67%, and it was reduced to 55% after trials with water to find the best balance.
The flavours are described as raw peat ashes, seawater, lemon juice and pickled green olives.
