Whisky Works King of Trees 10 Year Old (70cl, 46.5%)

King of Trees is a 10 year old Highland blended malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 46.5% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured first in first-fill bourbon barrels and refill American white oak casks. A portion was then finished in a cask made from Scottish oak, taken from a two-century-old tree felled by wind on a Highland estate. Scottish oak rarely gives the knot-free staves a cooper needs, and the fallen timber was enough for only one cask. The whisky is described as fresh, with crisp apples and pears, soft wood spice and cinnamon.
