This is a single malt from Arran, distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2012 by Whiskykanzler at 52.5% ABV. It was matured in a refill sherry cask and filled into 267 bottles.
The nose is fruit-led, with apples, pineapple, dried blueberries and cranberries, plus grape and orange juice. It starts spirity before the sherry gradually comes forward. The palate is warm at first, then turns fruity again with a grapey sherry note and citrus.
The finish brings zesty lime, dried cherries and grape jelly, with the lime lingering longest.
