WhistlePig 10 Year Piggybank Rye, White, and Blue is a 10 year old straight rye whiskey from Vermont, bottled at 55% ABV in a one litre silver piggybank decanter with red, white and blue accents. This limited edition marks the 250th anniversary of the United States.
WhistlePig farms rye on its Vermont property and ages the spirit there. For this edition the whiskey is bottled at 110 proof.
The nose brings rye spice, caramel, vanilla and toasted oak with citrus peel. The palate is peppery, with toffee sweetness, baking spice and charred oak. The finish is long and warming, with vanilla oak richness and a dry rye note.
