WhistlePig Boss Hog X: The 10 Commandments is a Vermont straight rye, made at WhistlePig Farm in Shoreham. It is the tenth Boss Hog, marking the programme's first decade. The series began with Batch I Spice Dancer and has brought out a single barrel expression each year since.
This edition is a single barrel, bottled at natural barrel strength without dilution, and finished in an exotic cask chosen for the tenth release. The 10 Commandments theme sets out ten directives for appreciating rye whiskey.
The nose is bold rye spice with the influence of the finishing cask. The palate is powerful and complex, and the finish is long and evolving.
