Boss Hog XII 'Feather & Flame' is the twelfth annual release in WhistlePig's Boss Hog series, a straight rye whiskey in a 750ml bottle. Each edition in the series has its own name and finishing regime.
This one takes its theme from the phoenix. The rye, aged in Vermont, is finished in casks prepared with phoenix wood and smoked with honeybees' help, a process meant to add smoky, botanical layers to the rye base.
