WhistlePig FarmStock Rye is a rye whiskey made from grain grown on the farm itself and harvested by Farmer Lee. It is distilled with water from the farm's own well, aged in locally sourced Vermont oak barrels and bottled in the barn on the farm. This one comes in a 750ml bottle.
The nose is sweet and aromatic, with vanilla, maraschino, roasted chestnuts and a hint of cigar box. On the palate there is oak, toffee and baking spices, followed by soft creme brulee and rose petals. The finish is warm and lasting, with pleasant rye spice.
