WhistlePig – Old World 12 Year (75cl)

WhistlePig Old World 12 Year is a straight rye from Vermont, aged for 12 years and given a triple finish in European wine casks. The bottle holds 75cl. The finish uses Madeira, Sauternes and port casks. Madeira adds dried fruit richness, Sauternes brings honey, apricot and botrytis character, and port contributes dried cherry and tannin, all layered over the rye grain base. WhistlePig's farm is in Shoreham, Vermont, and the Old World series draws on the wine traditions of Portugal, France and the Atlantic islands.
