WhistlePig The Badonkadonk is a 25 year old single barrel American single malt from WhistlePig Farm in Shoreham, Vermont, bottled at 58.5% (117 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It is a small batch pot still whiskey finished in Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon barrels, and it is the oldest single malt WhistlePig has released.
It comes in a hand-crafted cherry wood cabinet with double doors, a suede-lined interior and a narrative panel on each door.
The nose brings dark cherry, blackcurrant, dried herbs, leather, vanilla and toasted oak, with a light tannic structure from the wine barrel. On the palate there is dark fruit, baking spice, cedar and dark chocolate, with a creamy malt sweetness.
