Whitlaw 16 Year Old is a blended malt from the 2009 vintage, bottled by Murray McDavid in its Benchmark range. It was finished in a Ximénez-Spinola Pedro Ximénez sherry cask. The nose combines caramel, milk chocolate, apricot, dark forest honey, heather, a little salt and roasted hazelnuts. On the palate it is creamy and oily, with chocolate and nuts alongside raisins, dried fruit, apricot compote, wax and a hint of mango, plus a touch of oak spice. The finish is medium to long, warm and velvety, closing on sweet oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
