Willett 4 Year Old is a rye whiskey bottled at 54% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
It is a young, high-proof rye, and the nose shows it: brandied cherry layered over a mildly tart cherry, opening with time into cinnamon and baking spices, with a hint of oak.
The palate is robust, with dark cherry, burnt vanilla and plenty of spice, and a weighty mouthfeel. The finish is long. In this batch the spices dominate, though the cherry still pushes through to the surface.
