A single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Willett Distillery in Bardstown, aged for six years. It comes from barrel number 7266 and is bottled at cask strength, 60.1% ABV (120.2 proof), without chill filtration.
Willett's Family Estate bottles are tall, sealed with purple wax and carry handwritten barrel details.
The nose combines fresh grain, young oak, caramel, bright citrus and vanilla, with a lift of alcohol. On the palate come sweet corn, toasted sugar, baking spice and rye pepper. The finish is medium to long and warming, spice-forward with lingering sweetness.
