Windsor Canadian is a blended Canadian whisky made at Alberta Distillers Limited, near Calgary. It is matured for at least three years in ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at 40% ABV in a large 1.75 litre format.
The blend has a higher share of rye grain than most Canadian whiskies, which gives it a spicier profile. The barrels add light caramel and vanilla.
The nose is fruity, with ripe peach, honey, clove and a hint of pine. The palate is grainy and sweet, with candy-like fruit before peppery rye and woody grain. The finish is medium, with light caramel, dry vanilla and black pepper.
