Pendleton 1910 is a 12-year-old Canadian rye whisky made from a 100% rye mashbill. It is distilled at Alberta Distillers in Calgary and bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
After ageing in oak, the spirit is sent to Hood River Distillers in Oregon, where it is reduced to bottling strength with spring water from Mt. Hood.
The nose has nutmeg and cloves, dried pineapple, pipe tobacco and subtle floral hints. The palate brings muted tropical fruit and crisp apple, then dried cherry, brown sugar and butterscotch, with charred oak, tobacco and a little dark chocolate. The finish is medium-dry, with tart cherry, rye spice and a rounded maple sweetness.
