This is a 12 year old single malt from The English Distillery, bottled by WM Cadenhead. It was matured entirely in bourbon casks.
The smokiness builds through the whole dram, ending in notes of burnt, smouldering pine forest.
The nose brings vanilla, heather, fishing net and burning branches. The palate is syrupy, with honey roasted cashews, vanilla essence and subtle peat.
