Wolfburn 10 Year Old Vulcan is a single malt from the Wolfburn distillery in Thurso, the most northerly distillery on the Scottish mainland. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle, as a limited release of 890 bottles for the Vulcan Naval Reactor Test Establishment.
The whisky is unpeated and was aged entirely in second-fill Oloroso sherry casks. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
It is described as velvety, with dark fruits, milk chocolate and sweet caramel, set against warm spice, vanilla oak and subtle raisins.
