Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is a bourbon that is matured twice. After its first maturation it moves into a new white oak barrel that has been heavily toasted but only briefly charred.
This second stage is said to deepen the flavours. The bourbon is bottled at 43.2% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colouring.
Vanilla, dark caramel and hazelnut lead, with dark fruit, tangy honey, marzipan and oak smoke behind them.
