Woodrow's of Edinburgh Glen Elgin 14 Year Old (70cl, 59.2%)

A single cask Glen Elgin from Woodrow's of Edinburgh, 14 years old and bottled at a cask strength of 59.2% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in a refill hogshead and then finished in a first-fill ruby port barrique. The spirit was distilled on 8 February 2012 and bottled on 20 July 2026, giving 307 bottles. It is natural colour and non-chill filtered. The nose offers pear drops, black cherries, lemon zest and potpourri. On the palate, apple and blackcurrant lead to strawberry jam, blackberries and figs, then dark chocolate, walnuts and a hint of leather. The finish is long and gently tannic, with dried cigar leaf, nutmeg, ginger and cloves.
