Wright & Brown Bottled-in-Bond American Single Malt (75cl, 50%)

This is an American single malt from Wright & Brown Distilling Co. in Oakland, California, bottled in bond at 50% in a 750ml bottle. It was aged for at least 4.5 years in 53-gallon charred oak casks. It is made from 100% non-GMO malted barley, distilled on a 250-gallon Vendome copper pot still. The whisky comes from the distillery's inaugural 2015 batch, and the distillery handles every stage on site, from milling to bottling. The nose brings toasty malt, eucalyptus, nutmeg and baked apple. The palate is rich and velvety, with malt, dark chocolate, toasted coconut and caramel. The long finish carries sweet caramel, chocolate, mint and a touch of smoke.
