Writer's Tears Double Oak is an Irish whisky from Walsh Distillery, in a 70cl bottle. It is a blend of single malt and single pot still whiskeys.
It is matured twice in American white oak casks, which are then followed by European oak casks. This adds spice and vanilla to the aroma, along with honey, dried fruit and toasted wood.
The palate is velvety and soft, and the finish is warm and lasting.
