Writer's Tears Red Head is an Irish single malt from Walsh Distillery, made from a mix of malted and unmalted barley.
It is matured in ex-bourbon oak and European oak casks, with a small contribution from cherry wood that adds a fruity, spiced note.
The nose brings ripe apples, vanilla and a hint of sweet spice. The palate is soft yet lasting, and the finish carries almond and honey.
