Yamazaki 12 Year Old is a Japanese single malt from Suntory, the oldest whisky-making company in Japan. Suntory traces its origins to a small shop opened in 1899 by Torii Shinjiro, which sold imported wines. The 12 year old reached the market in 1984 and was the first Japanese single malt to be marketed seriously. Suntory is now the country's largest producer of whisky.
