A limited edition Yamazaki single malt from 2017, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a marriage of several vintages matured in a variety of casks, blended by Suntory's chief master blender Shinji Fukuyo. Some of the whisky has spent more than 20 years in European oak casks.
It follows the Distiller's Reserve editions of Yamazaki and Hakushu, as an older release of the Yamazaki single malt.
The nose is raspberry syrup, bananas, honey, fruit leather and mixed berries. The palate offers honey, cherries, sandalwood, herbal notes, banana and molasses, leading to a medium, thick, rich finish with banana sweetness, honey and a little wood spice.
