Yamazakura Blended Singapore Edition (70cl, 43%)

Yamazakura Blended is a Japanese blended whisky made as a collaboration between Sasanokawa Shuzo Distillery and Shin Group. It brings together four malt and grain whiskies aged in bourbon casks. The name joins 'yama', meaning mountain, with 'sakura', the cherry tree. Sasanokawa Shuzo was founded in 1765 and received its whisky licence in 1946. This Singapore Edition is bottled at 43% ABV, with no added colour and without chill-filtration. The nose offers pears, vanilla, floral notes and light smoke over a sweet malty tone. The palate is round and fruity, with vanilla, chocolate and a hint of spice. The finish brings cotton candy and a slightly woody aftertaste.
