This is Yamazakura 'Cherry-Ex', a blended Japanese whisky from Sasanokawa Shuzo, in a 50cl bottle at 40% ABV. It carries no age statement.
The Cherry and Cherry-Ex name is among the earliest blended releases from Sasanokawa Shuzo, which obtained its licence to produce whisky in 1946.
The colour is a light straw gold. The nose is very subtle, with a gentle sweetness and a light mouthfeel, and the finish is simple. It is described as a daily dram, suited to a highball.
