Yamazakura Fine Blended Whisky (70cl, 40%)

Yamazakura Fine Blended Whisky is a Japanese blend from the Asaka Distillery of Sasanokawa Shuzo, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. The name joins two Japanese words: yama, meaning mountain, and sakura, the cherry tree. Sasanokawa Shuzo chose it to launch the distillery's premium whisky range. Asaka distils in two copper pot stills made in Japan by Miyake Seisakusho, and its whisky is mostly non-peated. Orange blossom comes first on the nose. On the palate there is oak, caramel and fresh orchard fruit.
