Yamazakura Kuyuri Peated Blended Japanese Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Kuyuri is a peated blended whisky from Sasanokawa Shuzo in Japan, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It combines malt whisky, including peated malted barley, with grain whisky. The whisky is double distilled in pot stills and matured in bourbon casks. Citrus, malt and gentle peat smoke come through on the nose and palate, followed by yellow fruit and vanilla. The smoke builds towards a lingering finish, with sweetness and smoothness from the bourbon casks.
