Ye Franciscan De Luxe Abbots Reserve is a Scotch whisky from the 1990s, bottled by A. Gillies & Co. at 40% in a large 4.5 litre bottle. It was distilled, matured and bottled in Scotland. The nose is warm and balanced, with dry herbs, light smoky touches, toasted notes, ripe fruit in liqueur and a background of sweet wood. The palate is soft, silky and warm, with cereal, toasted malt, light spice and a fine bitterness that gives it structure. The finish is dry, rounded and notably long.
