Yellow Rose Texas Premium American Whiskey, Batch No. 18.2, is a small batch release from Yellow Rose Distilling in Houston. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It is made with a high-corn mash bill and aged in the Texas climate, which the distillery says speeds up the interaction with the barrel.
The nose is toasted oak, warm vanilla, sweet grain and dark honey. The palate brings caramelised corn, cinnamon, light tobacco and roasted pecans, with a gentle heat. The finish is medium to long, with mellow char, dry spice, brown sugar and oak.
