Gold Bar Lunar New Year Year of the Snake Blended American Whiskey (75cl, 40%)

A limited-edition Lunar New Year release of Gold Bar blended American whiskey, made for the Year of the Snake. The bottle carries a design by artist Robin Zhao, with Chinese architectural motifs, plum blossoms, peonies and gold coins around the brand's gold-bar shape. The whiskey is made from a mash of 88% corn, 9% rye and 3% barley, matured, double casked and bottled at the Treasure Island distillery in San Francisco, then finished in California wine barrels. It is bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle. Tasting notes describe honeyed vanilla, toasted oak, caramel and dried fruit on the nose, a smooth palate of butterscotch and orchard fruit, and a soft finish of oak and warm spice.
