Garrison Brothers – Single Barrel Cask Strength PX Sherry Cask Finish Bourbon (75cl, 65.3%)

This is a single barrel Texas wheated bourbon from Garrison Brothers, bottled at cask strength, 65.3% ABV, in a 750ml bottle. It is uncut and unfiltered. The mash bill is 74% corn, 15% wheat and 11% malted barley. After four years in new American oak, the bourbon spent a further four years in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry casks from Spain, eight years in all. Master Distiller Donnis Todd chose 14 PX barrels from the original Ranch Reserve production for this release. The nose offers chocolate, toffee, caramel, raisins and figs. The palate is rich with dried fruit, chocolate and dark toffee, and the finish carries sherry sweetness and candied fruit.
