Yellowstone Hand Picked Single Barrel Bourbon 2018 by Perola (70cl, 51%)

This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Limestone Branch Distillery, a single barrel from the annual Yellowstone Hand Picked Collection, chosen by Perola and bottled at 51% in a 70cl bottle. The barrel held a blend of 4 to 6 year old whiskeys, matured in new charred American oak. Stephen Beam, master distiller and blender, sets aside a small number of the best barrels each year. This one yielded 282 bottles. The nose is lightly sweet, with spices and oak. The palate brings cinnamon, vanilla and caramel with soft hints of citrus, and the finish is warm and spicy with a trace of oak.
