Zuidam Millstone 92 Single Rye Whisky 2015/2020 (70cl, 46%)

This is a single rye whisky from the family-run Zuidam distillery in Baarle-Nassau, the Netherlands. It is made entirely from rye, ground in the distillery's own windmills and distilled in small copper pot stills. It was distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2020 at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured for at least 36 months in new American oak. The master distiller wrote the details of each bottle by hand on its label. The nose offers citrus and spice with touches of honey, vanilla and oak. The palate is rich, with fruity honey sweetness and light spice, leading to a long, peppery finish with vanilla and oak.
