1792 Small Batch is a Kentucky straight bourbon made to a high-rye recipe. It was created to mark the year Kentucky became a state, and is a marriage of barrels chosen by the Master Distiller.
The nose shows caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and sweet corn, with a sharp burst of rye spice. The palate opens with honey, caramel and vanilla, then moves to black pepper, clove, baking spice and charred oak. The finish is long and warm, with dry oak, dark cocoa and rye spice.
