2XO American Oak Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl)

2XO American Oak is a Kentucky straight bourbon, the first expression in the 2XO Oak Series created by whiskey blender Dixon Dedman. The name means 'Two Times Oak' and reflects Dedman's approach of adding extra oak exposure during maturation. Here, charred American oak is inserted into barrels of a moderate-rye bourbon with 18% rye in the mashbill. Caramel and toffee sweetness lead, with roasted nuts and a lingering touch of spice. The nose offers vanilla, honeysuckle, caramel and citrus zest, the palate butterscotch, roasted cashews and nougat, and the finish caramel brittle with light peppery spice.
