A. Smith Bowman – Cask Strength Bourbon Batch #2 (75cl, 72.3%)

A. Smith Bowman Cask Strength Batch 2 is a Virginia straight bourbon from the distillery in Fredericksburg, Virginia, in a 75cl bottle. It is bottled uncut and unfiltered at 144.5 proof, or 72.25% ABV. A. Smith Bowman was founded in 1935 in Sunset Hills, Virginia, and moved to Fredericksburg in 1988. It makes its own straight bourbon. The nose is rich caramel, vanilla, dried fruit and grain spice, and a little water opens it further. The palate is powerful, and the finish is very long and warming.
