Aalborg Jubilæums Akvavit (70cl, 40%)

Aalborg Jubilæums Akvavit is a Danish aquavit from the Aalborg Distillery, made to mark an anniversary. It is 40% ABV, unaged, and comes in a 70cl bottle. It is based on neutral grain spirit with a lighter botanical blend than classic aquavits, using dill, coriander, citrus peel and a little caraway, with the emphasis on freshness. It suits sipping, chilling or serving with Nordic food. The nose is clean, with fresh dill, lemon peel and soft coriander. On the palate, bright citrus and gentle spice come first, then anise, coriander seed and herbal notes, in a smooth, restrained texture. The finish is crisp and dry, with lingering citrus zest and mild spice.
