Aberfeldy 16 Year Old is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky, matured for 16 years in ex-bourbon oak and bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The distillery stands by the River Tay in Perthshire and draws its water from the Pitilie Burn, where gold was once washed. This gives the whisky its nickname, The Golden Dram.
On the nose there are sherry notes, dried raisins, spicy oak and cloves. The palate is soft, creamy and full, with runny honey, vanilla, bittersweet chocolate, dark fruit and a hint of citrus.
